NDMA Guidelines of School Safety Policy:  CBSE CIRCULARS 2017

National Disaster Management Authority has formulated national school safety policy guidelines which focus upon the need to strengthen disaster risk resilience measures in schools across the country. The copy of same is available on the official website of NDMA(


As per the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the school safety guidelines issued by NDMA have to be implemented by all schools including the schools affiliated with the Board.

Hence, it is mandatory for all the schools affiliated with the Board to implement these guidelines. Every affiliated school is required to implement School Disaster Management Plan Model Template-National School Safety Programme (NSSP) at the earliest. The Performa for same is available as annexure-8 of guidelines of school safety policy, 2016.

It is the responsibility of school management to ensure and monitor the implementation of above said guidelines effectively in the school
