Subject: Prescription of qualification/ experience for various Board level positions in PSUs.

A reference is invited. to the Ministry of Personnel, PG & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training OM. No.4401l / 8/2006~Estt.(13) dated 22nd April, 2008 on the subject mentioned above.

2. The issue of prescription of qualification / experience for various Board level positions in PSUs and laying down norms to infuse more transparency and objectivity in the PIES-SB selections has further been considered by the Government and it has been decided that the Administrative Ministry concerned may, in consultation with the PESB, finalise the eligibility criteria in respect of various Board level positions in different PSUS‘ under their control. Once the recruitment norms are finalized, such norms should. have validity for a minimum period of 5 years. The finalised eligibility criteria should be open for the information of the general public.

3. In case of any disagreement or dispute between. . the PESB and the Administrative Ministry in relation to finalization of eligibility conditions, the matter should. be referred to ACC for final orders.

4. All administrative Ministries / Departments are requested to take note of the above decision for necessary action.

Sub- Enlarging the scope of public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB)- Amendment in the Resolution constituting the PESB.

The undersigned is directed to say that the Resolution constituting the PESB has been amended specifying that the candidates from State Public Sector Enterprises and the Private Sector subject to fulfilling the elligibility criterion, will also be considered as non-internal candidates along-with the candidates of other Public Sector Enterprises, for a period of five years. The amendment to the Resolution has been published in the Gazette of India vide Notification No. 44011/8/2006-E’stt (B) dated 4th April, 2008. The notification has come into effect from the date of its publication in the Gazette of India. The copy of printed Gazette Notification is attached herewith (Click below For Gazette Notification).
